Jude 22 "And of some have compassion, making a difference:"

The Care Ministries helps our church to make sure we have personal contact with both members of the church and those that visit our church. We genuinely care about every family and want to make sure we let them know this. We have divided the Care Ministry into individual departments:

1st Time Attenders Care Ministry

MINISTRY LEADER

Contact Ministry

When a family attends Heritage Baptist Church for the first time we want their experience to be a good one. We know the presence of the Lord will bless them and touch their heart and we want their contact with the people of our church to be a blessing as well. This CARE Ministry greets people as they enter the church, meets families in their seats and welcomes them, takes up the 1st time attender cards, and wishes people farewell as they leave to go home.

Those who attend will receive a friendly visit from a family of our church thanking them for attending. They can answer questions about our church and ministries and also set up a meeting with our pastor or staff if the family would like that.

New Member Care Ministry

MINISTRY LEADERS

Michael and Tiffany Calhoun

Contact Ministry

It is a great honor when God sends a family to Heritage Baptist Church. This CARE Ministry helps new church members by inviting them to their home or to go out to eat for fellowship. Our pastor wants to meet personally with every new member and encourage them in their Christian life. All new families are directed to a Sunday School class and it's activities, as well as, shown the ministries that are available in our church. This Care ministry also helps with the New Member Dinner we have every couple of months.

Church Family Care Ministry

MINISTRY LEADER

Contact Ministry

Every church has church members that may get sick or have a hospital stay or have a death in their family. This CARE Ministry helps keep the office informed so we can respond quickly to the spiritual and personal needs of the members of Heritage Baptist Church. If someone has been discouraged or has missed church services this ministry helps as well to encourage them in the Lord!

Community Care Ministry

MINISTRY LEADER

Misti Winebarger

Contact Ministry

In our local news papers we read of births, weddings, deaths, accomplishments, and even tradgedy. We want our community to know they do not have to come to our church for us to care about their needs and pray for them. We attempt to personally contact as many as possible in an appropriate manner letting them know we care for them in their time of need.

Shut-in Ministry

MINISTRY LEADERS

Rhonda Smith         /      Kristy Williams

Contact Ministry

This CARE Ministry goes to the homes of those who are 'shut-in' and unable to leave their homes to encourage them. They sit with them talking and reading and having genuine fellowship and companionship.

Prospect Care Ministry

MINISTRY LEADER

Preacher Hopkins

Contact Ministry

This CARE Ministry helps our church reach out to those who may be looking for a church or interested in a relationship with Jesus Christ. If a church member has a friend or loved on that they would like someone to go and visit, they can fill out a Prospect form and give it to a staff member. These forms are also filled out by those who go visiting in our community and meet a good family who is looking for a church.
